THE QUALITY TEST
As part of the quality test for beers from breweries-cum-restaurants, the DLG’s Test Center Food examines not just the quality of the beers but also the premises and plants used in brewing. All beers tested have been brewed in accordance with the German Beer Purity Law.
The test which is tailored to the peculiarities of the production process in breweries-cum-restaurants involves not only comprehensive laboratory analyses performed by recognized test laboratories and a sensory quality test, but also a review of brewery-specific hygiene standards. The technical condition of the malt store, mash house, fermentation cellar and storage/dispensing tank is also rated by experts.
